a cauliflower being eaten by farm animals

A Limerick About Cauliflower

There once was a cauliflower so grand, Grown in a patch of fertile land, It was bigger than most, A real sight to boast, And caught the eye of a passing band.

First came the cow with a moo and a grin, She chomped on the florets, so soft and thin, Then along came the pig, With a snort and a jig, And ate up the stalks with a great big grin.

Next up was the horse with a neigh, She munched on the leaves, so green and high, Then the goat had her way, Devoured the stem in a day, And belched out a satisfied sigh.

The sheep came along with a baa, She nibbled on the florets without a flaw, And the chickens did peck, At the cauliflower’s neck, Till there was nothing left, not a straw.

The cauliflower, once so great and tall, Was now just a memory, nothing at all, But the animals were fed, And they all went to bed, With full bellies, content, one and all.

Lol! I just realized that the AI rhymed “neigh” and “high” in the second stanza. That’s interesting, because AI doesn’t actually “hear” rhymes, if you think about it… rhyming is part of the spoken language and different letter combinations make different sounds when combined with others, so there’s always a chance that AI doesn’t get a rhyme right…. That might be a good way to test AIs in the future… if there are certain “spoken word” language attributes that can’t be artificially mimicked, it might be the new Turing test…
